There are three unusual tours at Long Meadow. (It’s known for producing, hearty red wines.) The first tour is a wine and olive oil tour, including a visit to Napa Valley’s olive grove. Every Saturday morning, from May through October, you will be more than welcome.
The second tour is more than a little offbeat. This one is an excursion in an open-sided Swiss Army cross-country, all-terrain Pinzauger. (If you want to make a deal with your husband, tell him you’ll do this with him, if he’ll do something you want to do …) The whole shebang ends with a wine and olive oil tasting plus a good hike through the vineyards. Depending on the season, you’ll also be treated to a sampling of LMR’s garden produce and grass-fed beef. The winery makes picnic lunches.
While you’re there, stop by Long Meadow’s roadside vegey and produce stand. They also sell eggs, beef and flowers grown on the property. Take a walk through their delightful gardens and enjoy!
